Privacy policy
What we collect, why we collect it, who else receives it, and what you can make us do about it. Your portfolio data is never shared with advertisers.
1. Introduction
LedgerTouch (“we”, “our” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and safeguard your information when you use our portfolio tracking application and related services.
2. Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address and authentication credentials. If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information from that service.
Portfolio data
We store the portfolio information you provide, including holdings, transactions, account structures and related notes. This data is encrypted and only accessible to you.
Usage information
We automatically collect information about how you use the app, including features accessed, time spent and interaction patterns. This helps us improve the product.
Device information
We may collect device type, operating system, browser type and IP address for security and analytics purposes.
Advertising data
The blog is funded in part by display advertising served by Google AdSense. When an advertisement is served, Google and its advertising partners may set and read cookies in your browser and receive your IP address, approximate location, device and browser type, and the page you are viewing, in order to select, cap, measure and protect the advertisement against fraud. Where you have consented to personalised advertising, that data may also be combined with your activity on other websites to build an advertising profile.
We do not send Google or any advertising partner your name, email address, account identifier, portfolio holdings, transactions, valuations or any other information you have entered into the application. No advertisement anywhere is selected using your portfolio data. What these cookies do, and how to refuse or withdraw consent to them, are set out on the cookie policy page.

4. Data sharing
We do not sell your account information or your portfolio data, and we never share it with advertisers. We may share information in the following circumstances:
- Advertising partners: Google and the advertising technology providers it works with receive the technical and behavioural data described under “Advertising data” above when an advertisement is served on the blog. Under some US state privacy laws, allowing this for personalised advertising counts as a “sale” or “share” of personal information even though no money is paid to us for it. You can stop it at any time using the controls on the cookie policy page, or at Google Ads Settings.
- Service providers: with vendors who assist in providing our services, for example cloud hosting and payment processing
- Legal requirements: when required by law or to protect rights and safety
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets
- With your consent: when you explicitly authorise sharing
